Safety Notice

The safety of children is of top priority to Bumbleride in everything from the design, manufacture and distribution of our products. During a recent cyclical testing by Health Canada, a SP-300 Speed stroller was identified as having a small section of the back hinge plates with a hard metal edge with a concern of this edge being sharp. This steel back leg hinge plate provides durability and structural integrity to the stroller and is designed with a plastic hinge cover and leg finial that limit access to this component of the stroller. It is important to note that we have received zero incidents or safety concerns from consumers, retailers or distributors related to this issue. In addition all Bumbleride products, including Speed, are extensively tested and in compliance with all global safety standards: ASTM: F833-15, EN 188:2012, AS/NZS 2088:2013, an the Canadian standard SOR/2016-167. However, in an effort to take proactive measures for 2016/2017 Speeds distributed into Canada and in co-operation with Health Canada, we are providing a retrofit kit for affected customers.

If you are in Canada and own one of the following Bumbleride Speed models SP-300BLK, SP-300DG, SP-300CG, SP-300MB, SP-300SVB, please APPLY FOR RETROFIT KIT. Please expect two weeks or less for delivery.

This concern affects Speed model strollers distributed into Canada with a date of manufacture from April 2016 to December 2017. You can determine the model number of your stroller by identifying the white rectangular date of manufacture sticker on the inside of the round hinge plate usually on the right side of the stroller.
