Our Cork Story
In our journey to further our sustainability efforts, we introduced Era in 2018 with a cork handle. Over the past 6+ years, we’ve only grown to love cork more. Because of its unwavering popularity with our Era customers, we’ve made the decision to go ALL IN with CORK. Starting with our 2024 collection, all Bumbleride stroller models are designed with a cork handle.
How It's Made
Cork comes from the outer bark of the cork oak tree. These trees grow in the
Mediterranean and Eastern Asia due to climate and types of soil produced in
these areas. Harvesting cork does not damage the trees; it regenerates naturally and is considered the most environmentally friendly practice in the world. There is zero waste in cork harvesting. Every part of the cork bark is
used in manufacturing.
Cork Benefits:
An unequaled material, supporting biodiversity and positive for climate change.
